The UNO should play its role in stopping human rights abuses being committed by Pakistan against the Baloch
It’s to bring to your attention that the Baloch people have time and again knocked the door of the United Nations to seek help to stop massive human rights abuses they suffer at the hands of Pakistani and Iranian states. However, with utmost regret, the esteemed world body has not taken any significant step so far to investigate these crimes against humanity being committed, especially by Pakistan.
BHRC representative’s speech on the occasion of the 88th year of Persian occupation of Al Ahwaz commemorated on April 27, 2013 in Toronto.
Today the Persian occupation and colonial rule over Al Ahwaz is 88 years old, and so is the Al-Ahwazi resistance against the theocratic state of Iran for independence. In 1925, when the Persian armies marched into Ahwaz led by Gen. Zahidi under the orders of Reza Khan Pahlavi, they had only one goal in mind – the total destruction of Al-Ahwaz national identity and the plundering of its natural wealth. In the first decade that followed, up to 1936, Ahwaz was divided and forcefully annexed into other provinces, and its oil & gas exploration including marketing were firmly brought under Tehran’s control.
A frustrated enemy is a vicious enemy because sensing failure he resorts to underhand measures but tries to give them a semblance of legality so he can justify it to others. Undoubtedly he looks for justifications but in the last analysis his logic is that of the parable of the wolf and lamb; he is bent on doing evil he doesn’t really care for justifications and legality and commits all the crimes under the sun to ensure his survival. Though he uses all ploys and ruses he eventually fails because the wheels of history move according to its own laws and cares not a whit for the power of those who wish to defy its laws. This adage applies to historical processes in its spirit, essence and application; “Though the mills of God grind slowly, yet they grind exceeding small; Though with patience He stands waiting, with exactness grinds He all.” History grinds to dust those who flout its laws.
London: Patriot Baloch leader Hyrbyair Marri said that Pakistani parliamentary politics and election of occupying state are tantamount to strengthening the roots of occupation and slavery in Balochistan.
He said Pakistan was using its full force, tactic and its allied pro-military Baloch parliamentarians to make the election successful in Balochistan but all their attempt seems to be going in vain. “These parliamentarians have tried their best to create confusion in Balochistan and on international level in the name of national freedom. Today these very same people including Akhtar Mengal, Dr Malik and Jangyz Marri are playing in the hands Pakistan,” Mr Marri said.
