Remembering disappeared Baluch on International day of the disappeared

The International Day of the Disappeared on August 30 is an annual commemoration day created to draw attention to the fate of individuals imprisoned at places and under poor conditions unknown to their relatives and/or legal representatives. On this day, the International community remembered the missing and disappeared people throughout the world. The day has been officially declared as the Day of the Disappeared. On that day, the International Commission on Missing Persons (ICMP) calls on all governments to provide answers to families on the fate and whereabouts of missing persons. International Human Rights Organisations have declared enforced disappearance as a grave human rights violation and a crime against humanity.

Nawab Bugti Remembered by the Baloch and Sindhis in the UK

A remembrance meeting in London paid high tribute to Nawab Akber Bugti on his 4th martyrdom anniversary. The function was organized by the Baloch Human Rights Council (UK) and World Sindhi Congress in the LondonUniversity Union Building on Sunday 29th August 2010. The meeting was presided over by the Baloch intellectual & writer and the Coordinator of Sindhi Baloch forum Dr. Naseer Dashti and was attended by a large number of Baloch, Sindhis and other human rights activists in the UK. Samad Baloch General Secretary BHRC (UK) conducted the proceedings of the meeting.

The Missing Baloch: The Tragedy of Zakir Majid

The International Day of the Disappeared on August 30 is an annual commemoration day created to draw attention to the fate of individuals imprisoned at places and under poor conditions unknown to their relatives or legal representatives. In Balochistan, since 2005 there had been more than 8000 enforced disappearances including women and children under the age of twelve years and currently over 1100 documented Baloch political activist are held in incommunicado by Pakistani Army. Balochistan is a Texas sized state occupied by Pakistan and Iran. This is the fifth uprising by the Baloch populace against the Pakistani Regime for Baloch nationhood.

Kachkol Ali blasts Islamabad for state terrorism on Balochistan

OSLO, Norway: The fiery lawyer and former fisheries minister in Balochistan was an eyewitness to the kidnapping of the three of the best known independence activists in Mekran.

The three activists Ghulam Mohammad Baloch, president of the Baloch National Movment, Lala Munir Baloch, vice president of the B.N.M., and Sher Mohammad Baloch, joint secretary of the Baloch Republican Party, were last seen at his office on April 3 ,2009. Three days later badly mutilated bodies of the three were found from the foothills of Pidarak outside Turbat.

Jamil Bugti proposes re-demarcation of Balochistan

Says Dera Ghazi Khan, Kandkot, Kashmore and Jacobabad be merged into Balochistan for plebiscite

QUETTA: Nawabzada Jamil Akbar Bugti has proposed re-demarcation of provinces on ethnic, linguistic and cultural basis remerging Dera Ghazi Khan, Kandkot, Kashmore, Jacobabad and other Baloch areas into Balochistan before any plebiscite is held ascertaining the will of the people to remain in Pakistan or not.

Addressing a press conference at the Bugti Bolak on the fourth death anniversary of his father Nawab Akbar Bugti, he said it was a democratic proposal and Pakistan as a civilised country should accept it.
