Mutilated body of a Baloch activist found in Karachi

Karachi: The tortured and mutilated body of a Baloch activist, who was abducted from Mand Balochistan, was found in Malir region of Karachi on Saturday (26 January 2013).

According media sources in Balochistan Adnan Baloch S/O Haji Akram Baloch was abducted by Pakistani security forces from Kehnek area of Mand, Balochistan on 30 June 2012.

Eastern Balochistan: Iranian security forces kill a Baloch man and critically injured a teenage boy

Occupied Balochistan: Agents of Iranian security forces shot dead a Baloch youth resident of district Kech area of Balochistan on 11 January after he resisted his abduction.

Tanvir Ahmad Baloch, who worked in an oil deposit, was first abducted by the agents of Iranian security forces. They told him that they would sell him petrol at cheap price but when Mr Baloch set in their car, they drove toward Iran.

In a recent judgement, the Supreme Court of Pakistan has declared illegal the July 1993 agreement between the Balochistan Development Authority (BDA) and Australia’s BHP. Since the original agreement stands null and void, all subsequent sales and transfers of the exploration rights by BHP to Tethyan Copper Co. (TCC), which is jointly owned by Canada’s Barrick Gold Corporation and Chile’s Antofagasta, have been deemed illegal and void.

Eight persons including a woman and a child killed during Pakistan military offensives in Balochistan

Occupied Balochistan: At least eight innocent Baloch including a child and a woman have been killed by Pakistan’s armed forces in different areas of Balochistan on Monday.

Sources reported that Pakistani forces raided and attacked a house in Besima area of Balochistan. Two occupants, Mr Qasum Baloch and his sister Rozina Baloch, were killed due indiscriminate firing and shelling on their house.

Karachi: The token hunger strike protest of the families of abducted Baloch entered its 1052nd in total and 52nd day in Karachi on Monday.

A delegation of BNM Gwadar zone visited the camp and assured their full support to the families of victims. The delegation said that many nations in the world have sacrificed enormously in their struggle against occupiers and intruders; despite sacrifice their struggles suffered from setbacks but the oppressed nations believed in the strength of their people that’s why they continued their struggle and became victorious. Similarly the Baloch struggle also has had ups and down at different periods. It is important to learn from the successes and failures and continue the struggle in an organised way.

Reports of military operations in New Kahan Quetta and Dera Bugti Balochistan

Occupied Balochitan: Pakistan military and Frontier Corps have carried out offensives and raids in Dera Bugti and New Kahan Quetta on Saturday morning.

Sources reported that several military trucks raided New Kahan Quetta; a Marri Baloch populated area, early Saturday morning. They carried out a house to house search and abducted at least three persons.
