He said they’re hopeful that the Norwegian government, as a member of European Union would play its important role on humanitarian ground.

Achakzai’s Remarks Contarary to Samad Khan’s Vision: Sardar Akhar Mengal

DUBAI: President of the Balochistan National Party (BNP) and the former chief minister of Balochistan Sardar Akhtar Mengal has termed Pashtun nationalist leader Mahmood Khan Achakzai’s remarks contrary to the political vision of his own father, Abdul Samad Khan Achakzai who spent his entire life struggling against Punjab’s domination over smaller provinces and their oppressed people.

The BNP chief said the Frontier Corps, which was responsible for killing and dumping the Baloch youth, almost entirely comprised of Pashtu-speakers from FATA (Federally Administered  Tribal Areas) and Khyber Pakhtunkhaw province. Yet, the Balochs never blamed the Pashtuns who live in Balochistan. The underdevelopment of both the Balochs and Pashtuns, he added, is because of Punjab’s domination over the federation and blatant denial to grant the people their right to self-determination.

LONDON:  The Khan of Kalat Mir Suleman Dawood has categorically rejected the impression that Pashtuns living in Balochistan are facing social and economic discrimination whereas they are receiving more than their due share from the province’s economy.

He said the Pakistani Establishment had been trying to create rifts between the two brotherly nations for many years but they have not succeeded in their designs because the Balochs and Pashtuns have historically enjoyed good ties.

Sehrish awaits justice – Sohaib Mengal

No one knows the definition of anguish, pain, melancholy and torture better than Sehrish Baloch. Sehrish, a student of 18 years old, lost almost every one of her family through unnatural deaths within a short span of few years. Her father died in his forties due to a cardiac arrest. A year or so later her mother and elder sister had a car accident near Bolan. Her sister died on the spot and her mother was critically injured. She fought a week for her life before dying on a hospital bed in Quetta.

With worst socio-economic indicators in Balochistan, Sehrish still doesn’t hold the state responsible for the death of her father, mother and sister. She still doesn’t think that if there were a hospital in her hometown, better road structure in Bolan or better facilities in Quetta hospital, her father, sister and mother would have been saved.

BRP refutes confession report of two Baloch youth by Pakistani media

Occupied Balochistan: The central Organising Committee spokesperson of the Baloch Republican Party, Mr Sher Mohammad Bugti, has termed the Pakistani security forces’ claim of arresting to suspected terrorist as a drama.

He said Pakistan and its security forces were annoyed and hesitant of the growing international popularity of Baloch freedom struggle, hence, they were making such dramas to mislead the world.

UN should physically intervene in Balochistan instead of only showing concern: Hyrbyair Marri

London: United Nation should not only be content with its concern about Balochistan but it should physically intervene against the on-going human rights violations like it did in Bosnia Herzegovina and Libya to play its role as a vanguard for Human Rights because further delay in UN and other democratic country’s intervention will deteriorate Balochistan’s already extreme human rights violations. Baloch patriot leader Hyrbybair Marri expressed these view in a statement released to Balochistan national newspapers in relation to the press conference of UN Human Rights Chief Navi Pillay in Islamabad.

It pertinent to mention that the UN human rights Chief Navi Pillay had express her concern about the grave human rights violations in Balochistan at the end of a four-day visit to Pakistan and regretted not visiting Sindh and Balochistan. She said “disappearances in Baluchistan had become “a focus for national debate, international attention and local despair.”
