WASHINGTON, DC: Pakistan is dragging its feet on issuing visa to the Asian Federation Against Involuntary Disappearances [AFAD] to go to Pakistan and meet with family members of the victims in Balochistan and elsewhere.

This was stated Saturday evening by Mary Aileen D. Bacalso, secretary-general of the AFAD, at the Lafayette Park in front of the White House where the Torture Abolition and Survivors Support Coalition International held its annual camp in solidarity with the torture victims around the world to mark the international day against torture.

Wadood Raisani’s mother’s death was planned, not an accident: Naela Quadri

Occupied Balochistan, Quetta: Professor Naela Quadri Baloch, a senior leader of the Baloch Republican Party (BRP), announced on Saturday that the primary report of a private investigation agency hired to investigate the death of mother of Mir Abdul Wadood Raisani, an abducted senior leader of BRP.

The report states the death as a “murder” as traces of powder found under the back side of her black land cruiser jeep that blasted both rear wheels, the vehicle disbalanced rolled over four times like a toy and 82-year old Madar-e-Baloch died at the spot and leaders of Voice of Baloch Missing Person were injured including father of Jalil Reki a senior leader of BRP and Nasrullah Baloch the president of VBMP, said the report.

عزیز ساتھیو! اگر “ٹارچرڈے“ کی مناسبت سے صورتحال کا جائزہ لیا جائے تو پاکستان جیسی ریاست میں‌لوگوں کو اذیتیں‌دے کر ذہنی اور جسمانی طور پر مفلوج کرنا عام سی بات ہوگئی ہے۔ یوں تو پاکستان میں‌انسانی حقوق کے حوالے سے مجموعی صورتحال انتہائی خراب ہے لیکن عرصہ چند سالوں‌سے بلوچستان میں ریاست کی طرف سے “ٹارچر“ معمول بن گیا ہے جس میں نت نئے طریقے متعارف کرائے جارہے ہیں۔ پاکستانی ریاست کی طرف سے بلوچستان میں‌ایسا کوئی فرد بمشکل ہوگا جو بلواسطہ یا بلاواسطہ ریاستی اذیتوں سے دوچار نہ ہوا ہو۔ روزانہ بلوچستان میں بلوچ سیاسی کارکنان خفیہ اداروں‌کے ہاتھوں اغواء، اور خفیہ ٹارچرسیلوں میں‌ان پر بہیمانہ تشدد، خواتین اور بچوں‌پر فائرنگ وحشت اور بربریت کا کھلااظہار ہے۔ ہزاروں کی تعداد میں اغواء شدہ سیاسی و سماجی کارکن، عام بلوچ، چرواہے اور مزدور لاپتہ کیے گئے۔ عدلیہ کے “ازخودنوٹسز“ بے اثر و عدلیہ بے بس ہے۔ کیا اس سے بڑھ کر کوئی ٹارچر ہوگا؟

BNF protest in Karachi against International Torture Day

To mark the United Nations International Day in Support of Victims of Torture the BNF (Baloch National Front) is holding protest rallies and demonstrations in Karachi and Balochistan (today) against abductions of Baloch political activists, students, doctors and people from all sphere of life including women and children. On international level, Baloch Community in Norway has also announced to hold a protest rally in support of torture victims in Oslo.
