#WalkForFreedom – The world should raise its voice against the genocide of Baloch nation: Mir Yassen Naseer Baloch

Yeongdong, South Korea (31 March 2016): Today is the fifth day of Baloch activists’ long march in South Korea. On the third day (29 March 2016) they walked 68Km from 8am to 7:45 pm. They walked from Daegu to Gimcheon city.

On the fourth day (30 March, 2016) they stated their walk from Gimcheon toward Yeongdong city. The marchers distributed leaflets as they pass through different towns. Their pamphlet contains information about Pakistani state atrocities in Balochistan and human rights violations. The marchers are carrying placards and flags of Balochistan and they chanted slogans to attract people’s attention and condemn Baloch Genocide by Pakistan.

حمل حیدر: میری خوش قسمتی ہے کہ مجھے بچپن میں ایک ایسا ماحو ل موثر ہوا جہاں کافی سیاسی اور ادبی سرگرمیاں تھیں۔ میرے ماموں اور کزن نیشنلسٹ سیاست سے منسلک تھے اور خاص کر بی ایس او کی سیاست میں انکا کردار تھا۔ اسی ماحول نے میری ذہنی تشکیل میں مدد کی اور میں نے اسکول کے زمانے میں باقاعدہ بی ایس او کی سیاست میں حصہ لیا۔

#WalkForFreedom: Freedom March of Baloch Activists in South Korea to UN office in Seoul

Daegu, South Korea (29 March 2016): By completing a walk of nearly 58 Km, yesterday, the Walk for Freedom marchers reached the city of Daegu in South Korea.

The Walk for Freedom march started from the South Korean city of Busan on March 27, 2016. The aim of the marchers is to highlight the Pakistani state atrocities in the occupied Balochistan.

کہا جا تا ہے کہ آوازٹکراؤ کا نتیجہ ہوتی ہے، اور ٹکراؤ کی بنیادیں تضادات ہوتے ہیں ، جو نہ صرف مختلف نا قابل مصالحت عناصر کی باہم مخالفانہ سرگرمی و حرکت کا مظہر قرار دئے جاتے ہیں بلکہ ان میں آنے والی شدت کسی بھی سرگرمی و حرکت میں تیزی اور وسعت بھی لاتی ہے، لہٰذا کسی بھی آواز کے خاتمے کیلئے ٹکراؤ کا خاتمہ ضروری ہے، اور ٹکراؤ تب ختم ہو سکتا ہے جب تضادات کا خاتمہ ہو جائے۔ جبکہ تضادات کے خاتمے کے حصول کیلئے ایک مقام پر پائے جانے والے مختلف متضاد عناصر کی ان کے وجود کی بر قراری کی ضروریات اور اس کے گرد جنم لینے والی سرگرمی و حرکت میں باہمی ہم آہنگی کا پیدا ہونا ضروری ہے۔

Balochistan: An unnecessary tragedy – Mir Mohammad Ali Talpur

The Baloch history of resisting aggressors forms the crux of its culture and they are brought up in an ethos that equates freedom with dignity.

Most people know Balochistan as simply 44 per cent land mass of Pakistan which it is but what many people do not know is that it didn’t become 44 percent by choice; it wanted coexistence but was forced into merger. Moreover it isn’t ‘terra nullius’ a land without people but this is always conveniently forgotten. There are people too; people whose lives have been destroyed with the injustices that have been the norm since March 27th 1948 but unfortunately this is generally ignored by those in power and the people in general.

Balochistan is an unnecessary tragedy which wouldn’t and shouldn’t have happened. The Pakistani elite and establishment were extremely insecure and desired to implement and impose conformity in name of religion. They never had imagined they could become rulers and unaware of the different and multiple social ethoses they were confronted with sought solutions by using force as their colonial masters had ingrained in them and that created everlasting resentment among people.

The arrest of a retired Indian Navy Commander, Kulbhushan Jadhav, allegedly for spying and other activities in Balochistan, is a coup of sorts for Islamabad.

For years now Pakistan has claimed that India is involved in Baloch separatism, but has not been able to provide a shred of evidence. Now, if we are to believe Islamabad’s version of events in the Jadhav case, they have it in good measure.

کچھ منتشرالخیال لوگ تو اتحاد کو ایسے آئیڈیالائیز کرتے ہیں گویا وہ ایک دفعہ بن جائے تا ابد قائم ہو ۔ وہ نہ اپنے ’’مثالی اتحاد ‘‘ کے لئے کوئی میکانزم واضح کرتے ہیں اور نہ ہی اسکے متبادل کوئی فارمولا بیان کرتے ہیں۔ یہی وجہ ہے کہ وہ اتحاد کے لئے ایک قدم بھی آگے بڑھنے میں کامیاب نہیں ہوئے ہیں۔

On March 24th, the Pakistani security officials, backed by the civilian authorities, said they had arrested an Indian national somewhere in Balochistan and now they describe it as the ‘evidence’ of Indian involvement in the restive province. The Indian Ministry of External Affairs has also confirmed that Mr. Kulbhushan Jadhav, a former Navy officer, has been arrested. While Islamabad says Mr. Jadhav worked for the Indian intelligence agency, the Research and Analysis Wing (RAW), on a high position, New Delhi has denied his affiliation with its premier intelligence agency.
