Baloch Martyrs of Mehi

Martrys of MehiMehi is a small village in district Awaran, approximately 600 Km from Quetta, the capital of Pakistani occupied Balochistan. It is the birth place of Dr. Allah Nazar Baloch, the commander of Balochistan Liberation Front (BLF) and the bastion of struggle for the independent Balochistan.

Dr. Allah Nazar Baloch and all his male family members are on the list sanctioned by the Military Intelligence and handed to the death squad contract killers with orders to “search & destroy” with immediate effect.

Sindhi, Baloch, and Pashtun Meeting Demands Self-Rule & Sovereignty Over Natural Resources and Political Affairs

Toronto, 06/25/2022: At a seminar hosted by the World Sindhi Congress – Canada chapter, representatives of the oppressed nations, Sindhi, Baloch, Pashtun, and Seraiki, presented a broad range of issues related to the several decades of Pakistani state atrocities, human rights violations, and systematic discrimination against the indigenous population in Sindh, Balochistan, and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. 

Progressive writers, journalists, and poets attended the seminar and expressed their views on politics, the history of the Subcontinent, and the rising tide of Islamist extremism sponsored by the Pakistani state and its security apparatus.

Sheikh Saadi on autocracy

There are lessons in history for us all but unfortunately the relevance of classical writers in helping us understand them has not only been overlooked and but at times has also been wilfully demeaned as outdated and obsolete. Nothing could be further away from the truth. Take Sheikh Saudi’s writings for example. They could prove to be a blessing for all those who want to learn and reform. About the autocrats and the consequences of their rule he says:

When He wishes to waste a world,

He places the country, in the grasp of a tyrant.

This universal truth is as relevant in today’s world as it was more than 700 years ago. My advice to both the tyrants and the oppressed is, read him.
