Balochistan: VBMP claims 161 extra-judicial killings in 2013
BALOCHISTAN: Voice for Baloch Missing Persons (VBMP), a non-profit rights group on Tuesday alleged that 161 Baloch political workers were subjected to extra-judicial killings in different parts of Balochistan, Pakistan’s largest province in land mass, during the year 2013.
VBMP chairman Nasrullah Baloch claimed that the gross human rights violations were being committed throughout the year in various parts of the province and ethnic Baloch political workers were picked up in violation of law and constitution.

Long march raises the issue of missing persons in Balochistan
Karachi, Dec 30 : Hoping to get justice, these family members of missing persons in Balochistan are walking on foot to wake up the world about atrocities being committed by Pakistan. Initiated by the Voice for Baloch Missing Persons on October 27, 2013, they will travel over 1,374 miles from Quetta to Islamabad for the safe recovery of thousands of abducted Baloch from the custody of Pakistani military and secret agencies.

LONDON: Pakistan occupied Balochistan on 27 March 1948. Since then the state of Pakistan has conducted five major military operations in Balochistan. As result of these military operations and continuous military rule thousands of Baloch have been imprisoned, displaced and killed. The extent of the brutalities committed by the Pakistani security forces is as gruesome as those of the Nazi era and as horrific as during the dirty wars of many other aggressors. What is so shocking is that the Baloch genocide has not adequately drawn the world’s attention to-date.

Voice for Baloch Missing Persons long march reaches Hayderabad
Today was the 12th day of VBMP Long March from Karachi and 38th day from Quetta towards Islamabad. They started their march from Mir Mohammad Ali Talpur’s place in Hayderabad. The weather was cold and Windy with heavy traffic on roads because of Aushura.

Relatives of missing persons receiving threats to end long march
QUETTA – Relatives of Baloch missing persons have been receiving threats from unknown phone numbers for the past four days to end their historic long march en route to Islamabad from Karachi.
Chairman of Voice for Baloch Missing Persons (VBMP), a non-political organisation striving for the safe recovery of Baloch missing persons, told the media during a news conference that Vice Chairman of VFBMP Mama Qadir Baloch has been receiving threatening phone calls for the past four days. “A man on phone said to Mama Qadir that he should end the long march otherwise face dire consequences.”
