WASHINGTON, DC:Republican Congressman Dana Rohrabacher said on Tuesday he would continue to support the Baloch right to self-determination even if relations between the United States and Pakistan completely normalize and Islamabad abandons its support for Taliban and Islamist groups.
He was speaking at the Zenger Room of the National Press Club in Washington DC at a crowded press conference with fellow congressmen Steve King and Louie Gohmert.
Rohrbacher, who is the chairman of the House Foreign Affairs Committee on Oversight and Investigations, said support for his resolution on Balochistan was continuously increasing among the members of the Congress. Initially, only four legislators had supported the Baloch right to self-determination but now his resolution enjoyed the support of at least twelve others. He hoped support for the Baloch right to self-determination would steadily increase in the US Congress.
