U.S. Congressman Louie Gohmert Reiterates Support for Independent Balochistan at a Congressional Briefing

An independent Balochistan will end Pakistan’s hostility and arrogance toward America and the Baloch people.

WASHINGTON DC: The U.S. Congressman Louie Gohmert (R-TX) on Tuesday reiterated his support for an independent Balochistan at a congressional briefing held at the Rayburn House Office Building saying, while quoting his conversations with leaders from Afghanistan and Balochistan, that a free Balochistan would dramatically change everything in the region, bring an end to “Pakistan’s arrogance and hostility toward the United States and the Baloch people.”

UNPO Conference in Washington Discusses Balochistan Conflict

The UNPO conference was aimed at discussing the conflict in Balochistan, analyzing its impact on the state of human rights, press freedom and the way forward.

WASHINGTON DC: The Unrepresented Nations and Peoples Organization (UNPO) organized a one-day conference at the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace on Tuesday to discuss the conflict in Balochistan, analyze its impact on the state of human rights, press freedom and the way forward.

Senator Paul Strauss of Washington D.C. welcomed the conference participants to the U.S. capital and applauded UNPO for organizing the event. He noted that Washington D.C. was also a UNPO member because it still does not still enjoy the status of a full state in the U.S.

Political leaders, including a former Speaker of the state legislature, activists and human rights defenders protested outside the White House on Friday February 12th to protest against Pakistan’s military actions against opposition political activists and unarmed civilians in the country’s resource-rich province of Balochistan. The Baloch National Movement (BNM), whose central secretary general Manan Baloch, a physician by profession, was killed by the Pakistani security forces last month, organized the protest in the nation’s capital.

Baloch American protest the assassination of Dr. Mannan Baloch by Pak army in Balochistan

Washington, D. C.: Baloch of North America staged a demonstration yesterday (12 Feb, 2016) in front of the White House. They expressed their anger against the killing of Dr. Mannan Baloch and his comrades by the Pakistani army.

The call for this protest was given by Baloch National Movement (BNM) North America. Baloch from different political parties including Nabi Bakhsh Baloch, Co-organizer BNM – North America, Abdul Qadeer Baloch Vice Chairman Voice of Baloch Missing Person (VBMP) and Waheed Baloch, former Chairman Baloch Student Organization (BSO) took part in the protest against the assassination of Dr. Mannan Baloch Leader of BNM.
