جنیوا: اقوام متحدہ کے ادارے برائے انسانی حقوق میں بلوچ نمائندے مہران بلوچ نے جنیوا میں اقوام متحدہ کی پاکستان پر یو پی آر میں خطاب کرنے ہوئے کہا کہ میں یہاں بلوچ فوم کی نمائندگی کر رہا ہوں جس کی آزادی ۲۷ مارچ۱۹۴۸ء کو پاکستان نے مذہب کے نام پر بذور طاقت سلب کر لی جس کے بعد سے پاکستان نے مختلف حیلے بہانوں سے بلوچ قوم پر ان کے اپنے ہی سرزمین پر زندگی تنگ کردی۔

U.S. Questions Islamabad’s Balochistan Crackdown

The U.S. Representative to the UN Human Rights Council has expressed “serious concern” over Pakistan’s violent response to separatists in southwestern Balochistan Province.

Ambassador Eileen Donahoe told the council in Geneva on October 30 that Washington has serious reservations about human rights situation in Balochistan.

She said Pakistan Army operations there are “aimed at silencing dissent.”

International Criminal Court: Issue arrest warrants for Pakistani leaders

London and Geneva – 12 March 2012: Speaking at the UN in Geneva, British human rights campaigner Peter Tatchell has “condemned Pakistan’s intensified repression in Balochistan, urged the UN to send a fact-finding mission, called on the International Criminal Court to issue arrest warrants for Pakistani leaders and outlined proposals for military de-escalation and a negotiated political settlement in Balochistan.”

Mr Tatchell was addressing a panel being held in parallel with the 19th session of the UN Human Rights Council. He spoke alongside the Pakistani author Tarek Fatah and the Baloch nationalists and human rights defenders, Mehran Baluch and Noordin Mengal, on Thursday 8 March.
