سندھ سے تعلق رکھنے والے طلبا کا ایک گروپ جبری گمشدگیوں کے خلاف اسلام آباد میں اپنے احتجاجی دھرنے میں بھوک ہڑتال کیے بیٹھا رہا اور اس کا کہنا ہے کہ اگر اس کے مطالبات پر کان نہ دھرے گئے تو یہ احتجاج وسعت بھی اختیار کر سکتا ہے۔رواں سال کے اوائل میں قبائلی علاقوں اور خیبر پختونخوا سے تعلق رکھنے والے نوجوانوں نے بھی پشتونوں کی جبری گمشدگیوں اور ماورائے عدالت قتل کے خلاف آواز بلند کرنا شروع کی جو دیکھتے ہی دیکھتے ‘پشتون تحفظ تحریک’ کی شکل میں اب زور پکڑ چکی ہے۔

Congressman Sherman Condemns Assault on Families of Disappeared Persons during Hunger-Strike in Sindh, Pakistan

WASHINGTON, DC – Congressman Brad Sherman (D-CA), released the following statement regarding the ongoing human rights situation in the Sindh province of Pakistan:

“I express my grave concerns about the human rights situation in the Sindh province of Pakistan, with special reference to enforced disappearances of persons at the hands of Pakistani security agencies. Many of the disappeared persons are from the Jeay Sindh Mahaz (JSM), Jeay Sindh Mutehada Mahaz (JSMM), and Jeay Sindh Qaumi Mahaz (JSQM). The disappeared persons also include teachers, intellectuals, writers, and publishers. Six of my House colleagues joined me in sending a letter to the State Department on this issue in August 2017. I also raised this issue on the floor of the House in October 2017, and this problem of enforced disappearances was discussed in a February 2018 hearing of the Asia Subcommittee at the House Foreign Affairs Committee.

Pakistani forces attack protest camp against enforced disappearances in Sindh

ANI  |  Karachi [Pakistan] | May 20, 2018: Pakistani forces have attacked the protest camp settled by the families of missing Sindhi political activists abducted by the Pakistani Military Intelligence and the Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI).

The families of missing Sindhi political activists conducted a three-day hunger strike camp in front of Karachi press club Sunday morning.

The protest camp was joined by various political parties and human rights organizations including Jeay Sindh Muttahida Mahaz (JSMM), Jeay Sindh Qaumi Mahaz -A, JSQM-B, AWP, Human Rights Commission of Pakistan (HRCP), and others.

Relatives of JSMM ‘missing’ activists continue protest

HYDERABAD: Relatives of two ‘missing’ brothers belonging to the outlawed Jeay Sindh Muttahida Mahaz (JSMM) continued their protest against the law-enforcement agencies, which they arrested a couple of weeks back and falsely declared their release a few days later.
