VBMP Long March reaches Larkana after 27 days, journey towards Islamabad despite rain and cold weather

LARKANA: A long march of Voice for Baloch Missing Persons (VBMP), arranged for the recovery of missing persons, reached Larkana, Sindh on Wednesday after 27 days.

The 1500-km-long march, led by VBMP Chairman Mama Abdul Qadeer Baloch, Farzana Majeed (sister of Zakir Majeed) and the relatives of other missing persons, left Karachi for Islamabad on December 13, 2013.

The long march is aimed at drawing the attention of the authorities and international human rights organisations towards the ‘human rights violations’ in Balochistan.

Balochistan missing persons: Families on march for their relatives

KARACHI: Relatives of people who have gone missing in Balochistan set off on a gruelling 1200-kilometre march from Karachi to Islamabad on Saturday, hoping to recover their loved ones.

More than two dozen men, women and children had camped in the commercial hub for nearly three weeks after walking 700 kilometres from Quetta.
