Rights violations, mass killings in Balochistan discussed at UNHRC in Geneva

Geneva (Switzerland), Mar.12 (ANI): Human rights activists, political leaders, Baloch nationalists and students from various parts of the world gathered in Geneva on March 10 to raise the issue of human rights violations in Pakistan’s province of Balochistan.

The event titled “Human Rights, Regional Security and Perspectives for Balochistan and Pakistan Post-2014? was held at Palace of Nations, Geneva on the sidelines of the 110th session of the United Nations Human Rights Committee.

‘Baloch sufferings at their peak’

Geneva: The worsening situation in Balochistan should be of grave concern for the world as the ripple effects of the crisis will be detrimental to the future of the wider region and world, says Noordin Mengal, a Baloch representative at the UN Human Rights Council who has highlighted human rights issues at international forums.

Pakistani forces start a new military operation in Nasirabad, several injured and many abducted

Occupied Balochistan – April 24: Pakistani forces started a new military operation in the Pat-Feeder area of Nasirabad, complete village burnt, dozens arrested. According to initial reports, Pakistan security forces have started a new grand military operation in Nasirabad district; four people have been injured in a mortar attack including three (3) children and a woman.

A two-day trip to Balochistan is in keeping with Mr Malik’s mercurial time in office, with the trip leaving observers more puzzled than ever. Islamabad, Aug 26 (PTI) At least 10 people were killed in sporadic violence as life in most parts of Pakistan’s restive southwestern Balochistan province was hit today by a strike called to mark the third death anniversary of nationalist leader Nawab Akbar Bugti, who died in a military operation.
