At least 85 people, including Nawabzada Siraj Raisani, were killed while over 70 were injured in a blast in Balochistan’s Mastung district Friday (13 July 2018) afternoon, the Quetta Civil Hospital said.
Levies sources say the blast targeted a corner meeting for the election campaign of Nawabzada Siraj, a Balochistan Awami Party (BAP) candidate from PB-35 (Mastung) against his own brother Nawab Aslam Raisani, who is contesting as an independent candidate.
BALOCHISTAN: Pakistan paramilitary FC and their local collaborators attacked a football match in Mastung Balochistan and abducted at least four players on Sunday.
Balochwarna News sources reported the Pakistani forces surrounded the football ground in Killi Sargad area of Kardgaap in Mastung and kept the hundreds of people hostage for several hours before abducting four Baloch footballers.
BALOCHISTAN: On 14 May, 2016 Frontier Constabulary (FC) raided Government Pilot Secondary School Mastung, forced the student to sing Pakistani national anthem on refusal subject them to violence, they also removed “Baloch” surnames from the entire school’s registers.
Details emerging from the local sources of horrifying ordeal of students by FC, a paramilitary force of Pakistan manage and operate directly by the Pakistan Army.

BALOCHISTAN: Baloch leader Dr Manan Baloch was murdered in a military operation early Saturday (30 January 2016) morning.
His four other companions were also killed when military attacked the house where they were staying in Balochistan’s Mastung area.
Dr Manan was the General Secretary of the Baloch National Movement (BNM), a political party seeking independence from Pakistan. Although the BNM claims its struggle is peaceful, the Pakistan military has killed dozens of its leaders and activists, including its founding president Ghulam Mohammed Baloch, due to their demand for an independent Balochistan.
BALOCHISTAN: Shrine of a Baloch Sufi saint has been blown up with explosives in Mastung town of Balochistan on Tuesday while in a separate incident a private school in Panjgur was also set on fire.
According to details 5kg of explosives have been planted inside the Shrine of Sheikh Taqi Baba near Mastung area, the explosives went off with a big bang.
As a result of the blast a woman has been injured and the Shrine was heavily damaged.
The injured woman has been named as Zar Bibi daughter of Wali Mohammad Pirkani.
No groups have immediately accepted responsibility for the attack.

QUETTA: Deployment of the military and paramilitary forces in the ‘sensitive’ and ‘most sensitive’ districts of Balochistan began on Monday to maintain law and order during the general elections.
Official sources said that more than 15,000 personnel of the army and the Frontier Corps (FC) would be deployed in the sensitive districts, namely, Mastung, Kalat, Khuzdar, Turbat, Panjgur, Gwadar, Dera Bugti, Kohlu, Awaran, Kharan and Washuk.

Quetta and Karachi : Simultaneous protest has been staged in front of press clubs in Quetta and Karachi on Saturday, against killing of Baloch political leader and intellectual Ali Jan Baloch and continuity of state terrorism and Baloch genocide in Jaho, Mastung, Panjgur , Kohistan Mari and all over Balochistan.
Addressing the protest, the representative of Baloch Human Rights Organization said that the continual events of killings and state terrorism is alarming. In the continuity of state terrorism on April 20 state forces attacked the house of Ali Jan Baloch in Jaho, killing Ali Jan Baloch and 18 other abducted.
Occupied Balochistan: Pakistani forces are continuing the series of abductions and custodial killings of Baloch in Balochistan. Seven more Baloch abducted from Turbat and Pirkoh, while two bullet riddled bodies found from Mastung and Panjgur areas of Balochistan.
According to reports from local media, a man namely Master Sher Mohammad resident of Buleda is abducted by the Pakistani secret agencies from Turbat city of Balochistan on 31st January. Since then the whereabouts of Sher Mohammad are not known.
