Baloch, Sindhis Protest Pakistani Atrocities and War Crimes at UN, New York

New York, Sept 21 – Baloch National Movement (BNM) and Jeay Sindh Qaumi Mahaz (JSQM) held a joint protest rally outside the UN Headquarters in New York to highlight the gross human rights violations in Sindh and Balochistan. On the occasion of the 72nd UNGA meeting in New York; Baloch and Sindhi activists campaigning for sovereignty of their lands, cultural identity and freedom of thought – gathered to jointly raise their voice against extreme forms of Pakistani military operations, enforced disappearances, torture and mass killings of civilians.

Addressing the media, Nabi Bakhsh Baloch, Secretary General, BNM-North America stated that the ongoing month-long Pakistani military operation in the Kolwah area of Balochistan has resulted in fatalities while a large number of residents were taken away by the soldiers who also set fire to their homes and properties. “For the record”, Mr. Baloch said, “This scenario is not about Myanmar or Rohingya Muslims but Balochistan where Pakistan’s Islamic Army is committing genocide against its own Muslim population.

5 million Sindhis demand freedom

Karachi: Pakistan is under the threat of disintegration and after Baluchistan now Sindh is also demanding freedom from the state of Pakistan. To show this demand politically one of the Sindhi nationalist party Jeay Sindh Qaumy Mahaz (JSQM) called for a Freedom March in Karachi capital of Sindh.

The leaders in their speeches were telling the audience about the atrocities of the state and they specially brought recently burnt after being shot dead two of the leaders Maqsood Qureshi and Salman Wadhiyo bodies in protest.

JSQM top leader Masood Quraishi burnt alive in Sindh before freedom march

Just a couple of days before the Sindhi nationalists and mass were going to organize their “Freedom March” in Sindh on 23rd of March, the top boss of Jeay Sindh Qaumy Mahaz (JSQM) has been burnt alive allegedly by the state sponsored criminal elements. On the morning of 21st of March the JSQM leader and brother of Bashir Khan Quraishi, Mr. Masood Khan Quraishi was attacked by criminal elements and was burnt alive along with his aide Salman Wadho.

JSQM leader’s death sparks protests in Sindh

SINDH: Activists of the Jeay Sindh Qaumi Mahaz (JSQM) took to the streets following the murder of the party’s leader Maqsood Qureshi and his aide, whose charred bodies were found from a gutted car in Naushero Feroze district Friday morning.

The police found the car and later identified the victims as Maqsood Qureshi, who was JSQM’s spokesperson and the brother of the party’s leader Bashir Ahmed Qureshi, who died in mysterious circumstances  and Latif Sangat Salman Wadhiyo, the central president of the party.

JSQM leaders Siraj, Zaheer, Ruk Sindhi and Ahmed Ali Noonari demanded immediate release of missing activists.

قیادت پر ریاست مخالف تقاریر کرنے اور نعرے لگانے کا الزام ہے۔

پاکستان کے صدر آصف علی زرداری کے آبائی ضلع نوابشاہ کے سکرنڈ تھانے میں یہ مقدمہ سب انسپیکٹر دودا خان راہو کی مدعیت میں دائر کیا گیا ہے، جس میں جئے سندھ قومی محاذ کے چیئرمین صنعان قریشی، وائس چیئرمین نیاز کالانی، ساگر حنیف بڑدی، کیھر انصاری، بشیر خاصخیلی سمیت انیس افراد کو نامزد کیا گیا ہے۔

JSQM protests against ‘Punjab’s unfair policies’

SindhHYDERABAD: Reanimating the old friction between Punjab and Sindh over control of natural and financial resources, the Jeay Sindh Qaumi Mahaz started a series of protests against the country’s bigger province on Monday.

“The way Punjab is making Sindh financially and economically weaker, we will do the same with it,” said Dr Niaz Kalani, the party’s vice chairman who was leading hundreds of protesters.

Delay in chemical test of Qureshi’s viscera lamented

SUKKUR: Thousands of activists of the Jeay Sindh Qaumi Mahaz (JSQM) staged a demonstration on Sunday at the Beberloi Bypass, Khairpur, against the alleged killing of the party’s Chairman Bashir Khan Qureshi.

Acting Chairman JSQM, Dr Niaz Kalani, Sanan Khan Qureshi, son of Bashir Khan Qureshi, Ghulam Mustafa Phulpoto and others addressed the rally. They held the Sindh government responsible for the JSQM chairman’s death. They reiterated the demand to the international community and the UN for help in chemical examination of Bashir Khan’s viscera from an international laboratory of repute.

Complete strike in interior Sindh over JSQM call

KARACHI: A complete shutter-down and wheel-jam strike was observed in interior Sindh and partial in the metropolis, however, Sindhi and Baloch localities of the city were completely closed in response to the call given by the Jeay Sindh Qaumi Mahaz (JSQM) against what it called the federal government’s attitude of destroying substantiation of the suspected murder of deceased JSQM Chairman Bashir Khan Qureshi. JSQM has blamed the government for delaying Autopsy Examination Report (AER) and changing the viscera samples taken from the deceased’s body.
