Toronto, March 17, 2016: Baloch Students Organization-Azad chapter in Canada has announced here that the organization will be holding protest rallies in Ottawa, the Canadian capital to bring awareness to the people and the country’s law makers about the gross human rights abuses in Balochistan by the Pakistani army and its intelligence agencies.
BSO-Azad will be commemorating the 2-year unlawful arrest and disappearance of their former chairman Zahid Baloch who was enforced disappeared from Quetta, Balochistan on March 18, 2014. The organization’s current Chairperson Karima Baloch will be leading the rally in Ottawa on March 18, 2016 outside the Canadian Parliament and will hand over a memorandum to the Right Honourable Justin Trudeau, Prime Minister of Canada.
BALOCHISTAN: The Baloch Students Organization (Azad) held their sixth cabinet meeting. The acting Chairperson of BSO-Azad Banuk Karima Baloch presided the meeting. Different agendas, including Organizational matters, current political situation and future strategies were discussed. The meeting commenced after 2 minutes of silence in honor of the Baloch martyrs.
In her opening remarks Chairperson Banuk Karima Baloch said BSO’s popularity and the support of the general public has frustrated Pakistani occupiers. Indiscriminate state policy against Baloch political parties reveals the fact that security forces are more afraid of mass mobilization than anything else.
BALOCHISTAN: Pakistan army attacked the village of Latif Johar, leader of Baloch Students Organization – Azad (BSO-A).
According to local sources reported by sangar news more than hundred soldiers of Pakistan army drove into Kolwa, Kerki a village thirty Km from district Awaran in eleven land cruisers and 8 motorcycles.
BALOCHISTAN: Voice for Baloch Missing Persons (VBMP), an advocacy group to secure the early and safe recovery of Baloch missing persons, took out a procession in Quetta on Saturday and demanded safe immediate release of the Chairman Baloch Students Organization (BSO-Azad). Continue reading
Occupied Balochistan: A huge rally was held by Baloch National Front (BNF) against Pakistani state atrocities and media blackout in Balochistan on 2 February 2013 in Turbat. Talking to the media Baloch Student Organization – Azad (BSO-A) activist Banok Makekan Baloch explained the cause and aim of the rally.
She said; As Baloch National Front (BNF) conducted this rally we want to make aware the civilized world, international community, Human Rights activists and especially international media. Our main goal for this rally is, we urge United Nation (UN) to interfere in Balochistan for human rights and especially for international law violations. Pakistan is not only violating UN charter and international declaration of human rights, but Baloch are facing Pakistani atrocity since 1947.
