Baloch Students Attacked AT QAU

Baloch students at the Quaid-e-Azam University (QAU) in Islamabad were reportedly injured in clashes on Monday that involved other students and outsiders. Groups of students fought with sticks and machetes. Dozens of Baloch students had to be admitted to the hospital, some with life-threatening injuries.

The university has been closed for an indefinite period of time. Social media updates say that even university teachers were assaulted in the violence.

Three Baloch student critically injured in pre-planned attack by gangsters

Islamabad: A gang of eight students attacked and critically wounded three Baloch students in Preston University Islamabad on Saturday.

According details Baloch students Khalid Kurd, Mehran and Fakhar were having lunch at University’s cafe. When a gang of eight students Umer Satti, M.Ali, Ahtasham, Afridi BBA students in Preston university led by Mashood Ali approached them started swearing them for speaking Balochi with each other.

Mundera, Pakistan – Qadeer Rekhi is a long way from home.

More than 2,150 kilometres away, in fact – that’s how much ground he and a small group of others, mostly women and children, have covered by foot since they began their long march on October 27 from Quetta, the capital of Pakistan’s southwestern Balochistan province. They are due to finish their journey on Friday with their arrival in Islamabad, Pakistan’s capital.

Baluch protesters walk across Pakistan to spotlight army abuse

(Reuters) – Relatives of Baloch students, activists and ordinary people who have gone missing in a lawless Pakistani province appealed to the United Nations for help on Thursday after walking across Pakistan for months to draw attention to their plight.

Bodies of hundreds of pro-independence activists have been found across the Baluchistan province and many more have gone missing in the past several years, in a little-reported conflict in a remote corner on Pakistan’s Iranian border.

In 2011, an innocent Baloch student, Nasir Baloch along with another student, was abducted by Pakistani security forces, interrogated, tortured and shot.

Both were left for dead but Nasir survived to tell his tale. David Whitney wrote Nasir’s story and produced and directed a short documentary film called “The Line of Freedom“. This is a harrowing tale of what seems to be a frequent occurrence in Balochistan. The film is available on the Internet.

International powers are trying to establish their influence in Balochistan: Banok Karima Baloch

The meeting focused on the performance of the BSO, regional and international political scenarios and on BSO’s future objectives and strategy. The Vice Chairperson said that because of greater inclinations towards national liberation, in Baloch society, because of successful campaigns lead by Baloch political parties and daring operations by Baloch resistance groups the Pakistani occupation has been forced to retreat to its ‘Bullet & Gold’ policy employed in Occupied Balochistan; bribe locals with monetary and political incentives -including licenses to murder, kidnap and pillage- kill anyone who resists, an example of which is the Occupations ‘Kill & Dump’ policy which has claimed the lives of a thousand Baloch political activists so far.
