بی بی سی نے اس سال دنیا کی اہم ترین خواتین کی فہرست جاری کی ہے جس میں پہلی مرتبہ ایک بلوچ خاتون یعنی بلوچ اسٹوڈنٹس آرگنائزیشن (بی ایس او آزاد) کی چئیر پرسن کریمہ بلوچ کا نام شامل کیا گیا ہے۔ یہ بلوچستان کے لئے عموماً اور بلوچ خواتین کے لئے خصوصاً فخر کی بات ہے۔ آپ کریمہ بلوچ کی سیاست سے اتفاق کریں یا نا اس بات سے قطع نظریہ بات اہمیت کی حامل ہے کہ بی بی سی نے ایک ایسے خطے( بلوچستان) کی سیاسی کارکن کی جد وجہد کو اجاگر کیا ہے جہاں سے خبریں بمشکل باقی پاکستان اور دنیا تک پہنچتیہیں۔

She now lives in Canada. In this exclusive interview with Malik Siraj Akbar (Twitter: @MalikSirajAkbar), President of the Balochistan Institute, Washington D.C., Karima will share with it means to be a woman and lead the BSO, the participation of Baloch women in the liberation movement and her life and activities in Canada.

At the same time Balochistan provides 46% of Pakistan’s total gas but only 20% of Balochistan’s people have access to gas. But there have also been reports that Balochistan is discriminated against in the setting of gas prices as well. What other grievances does Balochistan have on the issue of natural gas resources extracted from the province?

Baloch intelligentsia emphasise on need for forming united front

LONDON: In an attempt to throw light on various issues facing the Baloch in their socio-political circumstances, BSYA convened a major conference entitled, “The Baloch National Struggle: Past, Present and Future” that took place at Birkbeck, University of London on 28th July, 2013. An esteemed panel of Baloch intellectuals and writers were invited to share their insights and expertise on the conference subject to help the Baloch leaders, socio-political activists and the various sections of the Baloch national struggle to accurately assess the circumstances, and challenges faced by the Baloch in order to devise feasible strategies to organize themselves and achieve the objectives of their struggle.
