BALOCHISTAN: The Baloch National Front (BNF) has accused intelligences agencies of supporting religious extremists and their death squads to push the secular Baloch tribal society to intolerance ”, and alleged that attacks on private schools in Panjgur are part of the plot.
“The move to deprive Baloch children, particularly girls, of education is aimed to keep the people illiterate and backward and help extremists exploit the situation for their objectives,” the party said in a statement issued at the conclusion of its third council session on Tuesday.

We write to you from the middle of Balochistan’s worst quake-hit area, Awaran, where a deadly 7.7 magnitude earthquake killed more than a thousand people on September 24th, 2013. The powerful quake toppled numerous mud-built houses in Awaran and Turbat districts affecting nearly 350,000 people.
Members of political parties and civil society concerned over extra-judicial detentions, enforced disappearances and recovery of mutilated bodies. Voice for Baloch Missing Persons (VBMP) had organised the session at Quetta Press Club.

QUETTA: A wheel jam and shutter down strike was observed in almost all of the Baloch dominated areas of Balochistan on Friday (10-May-2013) which was the 2nd day of strike in protest against the elections..
The Baloch National Front (BNF) an alliance of Baloch National Movement (BNM) and Baloch Student Organization (Azad) BSO (A) had given the call for strike from 9 to 11 May on the eve of elections on account of their opposition towards elections in Balochistan.
QUETTA: A complete shutter-down and wheel-jam strike was observed in Baloch dominant district of Balochistan on Thursday (9 May 2013) on the call of Baloch National Front (BNF) against the general election. The Baloch National Front (BNF) is an alliance of Baloch National Movement (BNM) and Baloch Student Organization (Azad) BSO (A) had given a three-day strike call in Balochistan against the general elections. All busy markets, business centres and shopping malls remained closed during the day and a sense of fear ruled in general. The provincial capital also presented a dull look with lesser number of vehicles plying on the roads and most of the shops closed. Tight security measures were seen in the provincial capital with police backed by FC and other law enforcement agencies patrolling the area throughout the day.
Occupied Balochistan: The spokesman of Baloch National Front strongly condemning the military operation in Gidar area of Balochistan has said that a military operation under the command of Shafeeq Mengal and SanaUllah zehri, is being conducted from last two days in Killi Alim Khan Zahi, Gidr are in Soorab, Balochistan. The military Gunship Helicopters are continuously bombarding the Baloch localities. At least two women and a child have died in the brutal military aggression.
The statement further said that the operation was initiated two days ago by Pakistani forces with the help of Shafeeq Mengal and Sanaullah Zehri. Many houses and properties have been totally destroyed by massive bombardment. The whole area is still under siege and there are reports that there is acute shortage of necessary commodities.
Quetta: (Tuesday, March 27, 2012) Quetta, along with rest of the Balochistan witnessed a complete shutter-down and wheel jam strike today rendering the business and trade activities in the province paralyzed.
The call for strike was given by Baloch National Front (BNF) against what they described as Balochistan’s “forced accession” to Pakistan back on March 27, 1948.
Amid the strike, the traffic on National and RCD Highway between Quetta to Karachi, Taftan and Nasirabad remained suspended. The initiative to call for strike was also backed by other nationalist parties including Baloch Students
Organisation (BSO), but there were no statements issued.
Occupied Balochistan, Khuzdar (Baloch Johd): Another member of Baloch National Front (BNF) abducted, while he was traveling from Khuzdar to Quetta. BNF member Shams Baloch was shifting her ill mother on an ambulance for treatment to Quetta. Frontier Corps (FC) personnel has stopped the ambulance in “Luckpass” area of Mian Ghundi check post, suddenly Toyota 2D car with arm men appeared.
On 15th April 2010, the faces of two sisters were burnt with acid attack by unknown attackers near a village in Dalbandin, Chagai District, the attackers later on claimed responsibility with using the name of a unknown group called “Baloch Ghairth Mand Tanzeem”, this organization threatened the women and female members of society to remain in their homes and if found alone out their houses they will face Acid attacks.
This incident was widely condemned by the Baloch leadership in Balochistan and abroad and political parties. Balochistan National Party and National Party held protest rallies; Baloch National Front and Baloch National Movement also not only issued strict statements against the attackers but also took out protest rallies and termed them anti Baloch and anti human elements.
