They carried placards with pictures of the activist and shouted full-throated slogans such as “Wahid Baloch ko baazyab karo” and “Release Baloch and have pity on humanity”.

LEAs may be involved in disappearance of Wahid Baloch: HRCP

KARACHI: The role of law enforcement agencies (LEAs) in the disappearance of publisher and author Abdul Wahid Baloch cannot be ruled out, vice chairperson of the Human Rights Commission of Pakistan (HRCP)’s Sindh chapter, Asad Iqbal Butt, alleged on Monday.

This was the crux of a report prepared by a fact-finding mission formed by the HRCP on Aug 3 after Wahid Baloch was allegedly picked up by two men in plain clothes from a bus at the Super Highway toll plaza on July 26, he said.

KARACHI: Letters sent to the higher authorities by the Human Rights Commission of Pakistan (HRCP) inquiring about the disappearance of publisher and activist Abdul Wahid Baloch have returned to its Karachi office without being received.

This was said by Vice Chairperson of the HRCP’s Sindh chapter, Asad Iqbal Butt, during a press conference held by Mr Baloch’s family at the press club here on Wednesday.
