Hussain Wadela Along With Haq Du Tehreek’s Other Leaders Transferred To Quetta

According to local sources, the arrested leaders of Haq Du Tehreek Balochistan Hussain Wadela, Yakub Joski, Shabbir Rand and others have been transferred from Gwadar to Turbat, then Turbat to Panjgur and later from Panjgur to Quetta under strict security.

However, the administration has not yet confirmed this latest development. Haq Du Tehreek has filed a petition by Rashid Advocate in the District & Sessions Court Gwadar against the enforced disappearance of its leaders.

In the petition, District Police Officer (DPO) Gwadar and Station House Officer (SHO) police station Gwadar have been made parties and requested for the immediate recovery of the leaders.

Amnesty Demands Immediate End to Internet Black-out in Gwadar

PAKISTAN: The internet shutdown in Gwadar, Balochistan following the imposition of an emergency law to quell protests on 28 Dec must be reversed immediately.

Such disruptions are neither necessary nor proportionate, and inhibits the ability of the people of Gwadar to communicate, access information, seek safety and work.

In addition, the imposition of Section 144 in the name of public security should not become a pretext for more human rights violations – especially if they prevent people from peacefully protesting.

Birth of a Leader

In Shahi Tump, a far-flung town of Balochistan in Kech (Turbat) district, the house of Chakar Baloch was overflowed with merriness and gleaming lights over the birth of the first son, Qambar. The boy was to become an inspriational leader for the Baloch people soon after entering his teen ages. One day, some ill-fated soldiers of darkness would walk, take this light away to the shadow of torture and death. His was a story of celebrations in unison. When he was born, the whole family, even the entire town cheered up with uncontrollable delight. When he was killed, the whole of Balochistan wept. His was a song of happiness and a melancholy.
