My Sons are being held at an unknown location after being taken into custody by Pakistani forces – father of missing Muhammad Asif and Allah Din Reiki
Shabbir Ahmed Reiki, a resident of Surab district in Balochistan, said that his two sons have gone missing after being detained by Pakistani security forces Frontier Corps (FC) and intelligence personnel in Surab and their whereabouts are unknown.
Shabbir Ahmed Reiki said that his sons Muhammad Asif and Allah Din were abducted by FC personnel from Surab Bazaar on March 30, 2021 while they were at their shop.
He said, he had been worried about his sons’ lives for the past year and had tried his best to recover them, but local elders had refused to speak out.
Shabbir Ahmed has appealed to the ruling political parties and human rights organizations to help in the safe recovery of the missing sons.
It may be recalled that Shabbir Ahmed Reiki is the brother of Mama Qadeer Baloch who is the vice chairman of Voice for Baloch Missing Persons, an organization that raises voice for missing persons and is fighting against human rights violations in Balochistan. Mama Qadeer Baloch termed the enforced disappearance of his nephews from Surab as a continuation of the collective punishment meted out by the Pakistani forces in Balochistan.
Mama Qadeer Baloch said that as retribution for peaceful struggle the forces target the relatives of the activists which is an inhuman act. Mama Qadeer has appealed to international human rights organizations to take notice of the ongoing Baloch genocide in Pakistan.
