بلوچستان میں سرداری نظام اب زائد المیعاد ہوچکا ہے، اسکی کوئی ضرورت نہیں۔ سردار عطاء اللہ مینگل

بزرگ بلوچ رہنما سردار عطاء اللہ مینگل نے ہیرالڈ میگزین کو ایک انٹرویو دیتے ہوئے کہا ہے کہ قبیلوں نے ہمیشہ بلوچوں کو تقسیم کرکے رکھا ہے اور ایک مقصد کیلئے جدوجہد کرنے سے روکا ہے، حتیٰ کے بلوچ قوم پرست جو بلوچ کے حق کیلئے لڑ رہے ہیں، وہ بھی ابھی تک قبائلیت سے باہر نکل نہیں پائے ہیں۔ ہم ایک عام بلوچ سے کیسے امید کرسکتے ہیں کہ وہ قبائلیت چھوڑ دے جبکہ خود کو قوم پرست کہنے والے لیڈر تک اسے چھوڑنے پر راضی نہیں۔

انہوں نے بلوچستان میں سرداری نظام کے بابت کہا کہ سرداری نظام اب اپنی زندگی جی چکا ہے، اب یہ زائد الیعاد ہوچکا ہے، اس جدید دنیا میں اسکی کوئی ضرورت نہیں۔ دنیا بہت پہلے اس قبائلیت سے باہر نکل چکی ہے لیکن جب تک بلوچوں میں کوئی نیا نظام متعارف نہیں ہوتا تب تک سردار نظام اسی طرح چلتا رہے گا۔ لیکن اب وقت آچکا ہے کہ ہم سردار نظام سے نکلیں اور اسکا کوئی نعم البدل تشکیل دیں۔

Balochistan’s first chief minister, Sardar Attaullah Mengal, is said to be the fourth pillar of Baloch nationalism, and the only one alive today. The other pillars were Mir Ghaus Bakhsh Bizenjo, Nawab Khair Bakhsh Marri and Nawab Akbar Khan Bugti.

Born in 1929, Mengal spent his childhood in Lasbela and later moved to Karachi. He was declared the chief (sardar) of Mengal tribe in 1954.

Mengal was introduced to politics by Mir Ghaus Bakhsh Bizenjo, a founding member of the National Awami Party (NAP) – who also briefly served as the governor of Balochistan in 1972-73. In 1962, Mengal was elected to the West Pakistan provincial assembly; Bezinjo ran his election campaign.
