Killed by Pakistan Army on August 19, 2011
Genocide is defined in Article 2 of the Convention on the Prevention and Punishment of the Crime of Genocide (1948): – “any of the following acts committed with intent to destroy, in whole or in part, a national, ethnical, racial or religious group, as such: killing members of the group; causing serious bodily or mental harm to members of the group.”
Since 1948, after the World War II, the countries that committed genocide have denied it, and the civilized world that have committed itself not to allow it to happen again stood idle, avoiding to call an annihilation a genocide because they will be obliged to take action to stop it. We Baloch are squeezed between these two worlds, slaughtered by Iran and Pakistan but our situation not recognized as genocide by the West and the international community.
Pakistan’s policy of “Kill and Dump” has robbed the Baloch nation of its youth. Like a routine, 19 August 2011 also brought the sad news to the Baloch people that two more of its youth are no more – their mutilated bodies boring five bullet wounds have been found from costal highway near Chakli area in Pasni. Their bodies were identified later at a local hospital in Pasni as Sajid Baloch and Khalid Baloch.
Sajid Baloch, s/o Ismail, resident of Jiwani was a fisherman by profession and a member of BNM. He was abducted by Pakistan Army soldiers from a boat in Jiwani on 6 March 2011. Khalid Baloch, 24, son of Haji Hathim, resident of Pasni was a shopkeeper and a sympathizer of BNM. He was forcefully snatched away from a van on 4 July 2011 at a Pakistan Army check post at Nalent near Pasni while heading from Gwadar back to his home town. He was whisked away by the military personnel to an undisclosed location.
Our people are being enforced disappeared, their mutilated bodies are being dumped on roads, our houses and villages are being burned and destroyed, thousands of our people are internally forced to migrate to different places. Pakistan does not allow international human rights organization and the media to come in Balochistan to observe/report the suffering of the people.
Baloch as a people are facing annihilation by a merciless army with a history of genocide in Bangladesh. This army has created death squads from its proxy terrorist organization harbored in Balochistan such as ISIS and Lashkar-e-Khorasan to hunt us down. And the civilized world is silently watching, hesitant to standup for us.
Like the Bosnian radio reporter, Vedrana Bozinovi, we Baloch ask the UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres – “How many dead, bullet-riddled bodies of Baloch youth [killed by Pakistan Army] do you need to count before you act?
We shall no surrender our will to freedom in front of a rouge state which has no respect for human rights. We will fight and defend our nation and fulfill our obligation towards it with our blood.
Long Live Free and United Balochistan
Struggle Until Freedom
