Police ordered to register case to find out ‘missing’ Wahid Baloch


KARACHI: The Sindh High Court on Monday directed the Sohrab Goth police to register a case to track down a Baloch social worker allegedly taken away by unidentified personnel of the law enforcement agencies.

A two-judge bench headed by Justice Naimatullah Phulpoto also directed the police to prepare an inquiry report and submit it in court on the next date of hearing on Oct 23.

کراچی: سندھ ہائی کورٹ نے لاپتہ بلوچ سماجی کارکن کے مبینہ اغوا کے خلاف تھانہ سہراب گوٹھ کو مقدمے کے اندارج کا حکم جاری کردیا۔
جسٹس نعمت اللہ پھلپوٹو کی سربراہی میں قائم سندھ ہائی کورٹ کے دو رکنی بینچ نے پولیس کو حکم دیا کہ سماجی کارکن عبدالواحد بلوچ کو لاپتہ کیے جانے کے حوالے سے ایک انکوئری رپورٹ ترتیب دیں اور اسے 23 اکتوبر کو آئندہ کی سماعت میں عدالت میں پیش کیا جائے۔

White House petition to declare Pak terror state crosses 100,000 signatures

An online White House petition asking for Pakistan to be declared as a state sponsor of terrorism has crossed 100,000 signatures thus qualifying to get a response from the Obama administration.

The online petition launched by Indian Americans last week has become the third most popular petition on the White House website with nearly 110,000 people signing the petition. The Obama administration is expected to respond to it within 60 days

The online petition was created on September 21.

The doctor turned militant heads Balochistan Liberation Front (BLF), the largest among the five militant groups active in the conflict-torn region. Nazar, who is underground, survived an attempt on his life by Pakistani forces last year. Excerpts from an email interview he gave to TOI’s Aarti Tikoo Singh from an undisclosed location in Balochistan:
