Balochistan Suffered a ‘Bloody August’ With 67 Deaths: Activists

A brutal crackdown seems to have taken place in Pakistan’s disturbed border province of Balochistan after Prime Minister Narendra Modi highlighted the human rights violations there in his 15 August Independence Day address.

The toll of dead and missing people has witnessed a sharp surge, with at least 67 dead and over 150 reported missing in August alone, local activists and multiple well-informed sources with access to inside information have averred.

Baloch separatist leader Bugti to sue Pakistan Army chief for crimes against humanity

Brahumdagh Bugti, president of the Baloch Republican Party, is living in exile in Switzerland after the assassination of his grandfather and revered Baloch freedom fighter late Nawab Akbar Bugti.

In a swift counter attack, Baluch leader in exile Brahumdagh Bugti today threatened to sue Pakistan Army Chief General Raheel Sharif for crimes against humanity and genocide of Baloch people in Balochistan.
