US lawmakers to debate whether Pakistan is a ‘friend or foe’

PTI | Washington July 9, 2016: Tired of the alleged “double game” being played by Islamabad, American lawmakers have announced to hold a Congressional hearing next week to discuss whether Pakistan is a “friend or foe” of the US in the war on terror.

“This hearing will give members the opportunity to learn more about Pakistan’s longstanding ties to terrorist groups and allow for a more informed reassessment of US foreign policy priorities vis-à-vis Islamabad,” said Congressman Ted Poe Chairman of Subcommittee on Terrorism, Non-Proliferation and Trade of the House Foreign Affairs Committee.

BALOCHISTAN: Family of MPA Baluchistan Hendry Masih coerced by local Muslims and hardliners to drop charged against the assassin of the lawmaker. The family is receiving threats to pardon the gunman who had gunned down the lawmaker in 2014. The Christian family seeks protection as the fanatics are bent on getting the assassin of Hendry Masih acquitted.
