Australia, Melbourne: The Baloch Community in Melbourne along with Baloch Students Organization-Azad members organized a protest at the Victorian Parliament House to highlight the ongoing human rights violation occurring in Balochistan against the Baloch people all over Pakistan.
The protesters in particular raised the issue of the recent abduction and disappearance of Baloch Students Organisation Azad Chairman Zahid Baloch on 18th March 2014 in Quetta city.
This demonstration also focused and acknowledged the ‘Hunger Strike till death’ protest by BSO-A member Lateef Johar for the save recovery of Zahid Baloch. Mr Lateef Johar is currently on his 13th day of hunger strike.
At the time of writing of this report, police have fired tear gas at the ‘Hunger strike till death’ camp in Karachi. Lateef Johar, women and children sitting at camp were badly affected. Mr Johar almost fainted and has been taken inside the Karachi Press Club’s mosque to receive some first aid.
The protesters requested all international organizations, including the United Nations and the the Amnesty International to pay attention and intervene to end injustice and suffering of Baloch masses by the Pakistani State.
