Rich Tribute Paid to Martyrs on the 89th Year of Iranian Occupation of Al-Ahwaz

Toronto, April 26, 2014 – Ahwazi Democratic Popular Front held a gathering in Toronto to commemorate the 89th year of Iranian occupation of Al-Ahwaz. The meeting at the North York Centre was attended by a diverse group of people belonging to the non-Persian nationalities under Iranian occupation. A large number of Al-Ahwazi Arabs, Azeri Turks, Turkoman, Palestinians, Lebanese, Sindhis and Baloch participated to express their commitment and solidarity with the independence struggle of Al-Ahwaz and nations under foreign occupation.

Open Letter Demanding The Release of Baloch Missing Persons

On March 18th, 2014 around 5:00 pm in Quetta, Zahid Baloch chairperson of Baloch Student Organization– Azad (BSO-A), was abducted at gun point. Banuk Karima, vice chairperson of BSO-A, witnessed the abduction. She notes, ‘Pakistan’s secret agencies and security forces abducted Zahid Baloch, I along with three other members of BSO-A witnessed the abduction. We are deeply concerned about his safety and feel that his life is under serious threat. Zahid Baloch is not the only missing Baloch.

BALOCHISTAN: The Voice for Baloch Missing Persons leaders including Chairman Nasrullah Baloch, Vice Chairman Abdul Qadeer Baloch and General Secretary Farzana Majeed Baloch have urged Amnesty International, European Union, UN and other international Human Rights bodies to take to notice of enforced disappearances in Balochistan.

The VBMP leader said that Pakistani forces illegally abducted 19200 Baloch activists and more than 2000 among them have been killed and dump. “We have given proof and the documents about enforced-disappearances in Balochistan to UN representatives in Islamabad,” they said.
