SINDH: A partial strike is being observed today (Wednesday) in parts of Sindh on the call of Jeay Sindh Muttahida Mahaz (JSMM) in protest against the most controversial Pakistan Protection Bill (PPB) bulldozed in the national assembly yesterday, Geo News reported.
Sources said that petrol pumps are closed in Nawabshah, shutter down strike being observed in Ghotki, while life stands paralysed in several districts and towns of Sindh including Golarchi in Badin, Matli, Tando Bago, Talhar. Traffic remained thin on the roads. A partial strike is being observed in Naushehroferoze.
On the other hand, complete shutter down strike being observed in Dadu, Khairpur, Tando Mohammad Khan, Mehar and traffic remained thin in protest against the Pakistan Protection Bill and Bashir Qureshi’s brother Maqsood Qureshi’s brutal murder.
It may recalled that at least 24 low intensity blasts hit different cities of Sindh yesterday as JSMM announced a strike for Wednesday against Protection of Pakistan Ordinance and killing of nationalist leader Maqsood Qureshi.
