Toronto, March 29, 2014 – BHRC (Canada) held a meeting in Toronto to mark the Pakistani military invasion of Balochistan on March 27, 1948. The gathering of Baloch, Sindhis, Kashmiris, Ahwazi Arabs and Azeri Turks was addressed by speakers from various organizations. The event in Toronto was part of the Black Day observed throughout Balochistan to voice their dissent against the forced annexation of Baloch lands into Pakistan by an illegal military invasion.

Pakistani Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif made a series of commitments to safeguard press freedom during a meeting with a CPJ delegation last week. Among them was a pledge to speak out in support of media freedom and against attacks on journalists, particularly in high-conflict areas like Baluchistan.

پاکستان کے صو بہ بلوچستان کے ضلع خضدار کے اجتماعی قبروں والے علاقے توتک سے اتوار کو مزید تین افراد کی لاشیں ملی ہیں۔توتک کے اسی مقام سے 24 جنوری کو ایک اجتماعی قبر سے 13 افراد کی لاشیں برآمد ہوئیں تھیں اور ان تین لاشوں کی برآمدگی کے ساتھ یہاں سے ملنے والی لاشوں کی تعداد 16 ہو گئی ہے۔

Three bodies recovered from mass grave in Balochistan
QUETTA: Three more dead bodies were recovered from a mass grave in Balochistan’s Khuzdar district on Sunday, a levies official said.
A levies official, who requested anonymity because he was not authorised to speak to the media, told Dawn.com that three more dead bodies were recovered from a mass grave in Totak area of Khuzdar.
