Balochistan: In a fresh offensive, Pakistan Army killed five, injured many (including woman and children) and abducted eight from Kech, Balochistan.
According to local media reports Pakistan Army, in an early morning raid on Darmakol in Pidrak area of Turbat in Kech killed five locals.
Local eyewitness said Pakistani military besieged the Pidrak region of district Kech, backed by gunship helicopters launched the operation in the wee hours of Saturday 22 March 2014. Houses in Darmakol were indiscriminately bombarded with their residence sleeping in them, he said.
Political analysts, following the news of this region, say Pakistani security forces in Balochistan are using “search and destroy” tactics in the name of search operation more frequently since Dr. Malik took office. Excessive force, backed by gunship helicopters, burning and destroying houses by indiscriminate shelling, killing and abducting common villagers has become a common occurrence in every Baloch populated district of Balochistan.
As a result of the Pakistan Army’s brutal raid on Darmakol, five people died who were identified as Sameer s/o Naseer Kamalan, Haji Kamal s/o Musa, Murad Hasil along with his two sons, Akram and Islam. While eight people Asim s/o Gul Muhammad, Muheem s/o Asim, Sagheer s/o Ameet, Meero s/o Hussain, Imam s/o Hussain, Aalim s/o Hussain, Perviaz s/o Mazar Baloch and Jalal s/o Mazar Baloch were abducted by the Pakistani raiding forces during the operation in the Pidrak region. Seriously injured during the military operation include woman and children listed as: Salam s/o Murad Hasil, Sikander s/o Kamal, Farzana d/o Murad Hasil, Sangeen d/o Murad Hasil, Bilkees d/o Musa.
Separately, in a statement, Baloch National Movement (BNM) condemned the bombardment of Darmakol. The spokesman appealed to the UN and international community to take notice of the Pakistani forces’ bombardment of Baloch civilian population. He further said that the silence of the international community over these atrocities will give Pakistan a free hand to continue its inhuman practices against Baloch civilians which will result in genocidal acts by the state security forces in Balochistan.
