[DOKRI] Activists of the Jeay Sindh Qoumi Mahaz (JSQM) held a demonstration outside the press club in protest against alleged enforced disappearances of Shahid Junejo, Asghar Jamali, Zameer Khaskheli and others. JSQM leaders Siraj, Zaheer, Ruk Sindhi and Ahmed Ali Noonari demanded immediate release of missing activists.

Updated: Death toll from Balochistan earthquake reaches 600

A powerful earthquake has killed at least 600 people and toppled thousands of mud-built homes in Balochistan. The 7.7-magnitude quake struck on Tuesday afternoon at a depth of 20km (13 miles) north-east of Awaran, the US Geological Survey said.

Many houses were flattened and thousands of people have spent the night in the open.

After the quake, a small island appeared off the coast near the port of Gwadar, witnesses reported.
