Occupied Balochistan: Police found four dead bodies of Baloch missing persons, including a member of Baloch Students Organisation (BSO-Azad), here on Saturday. All bodies bore marks of brutal and inhuman torture, hospital sources confirmed.
Police, on a tip-off, found three corpses dumped in separate sacks in Jabal-e-Noor area in the outskirts of the provincial capital in the early hours of Saturday, and shifted them to Bolan Medical College Hospital for a postmortem. They were identified as Maqsood Qalandarani s/o Sher Mohammad, Ghulam Murtaza s/o Haleem and Nasir Badini.
“The victims had been missing for months. We do not know reasons behind these killings,” official sources maintained. Hospital sources said Gulam Murtaza and Nasir Badini were brutally tortured before they were killed, while Nasir was shot in the head that ensured his instant death. Maqsood’s corpse bore marks of a deep wound inflicted by a hard and blunt object that could be an iron rod, hospital sources opined.
Voice for Baloch Missing Persons (VBMP) chairman claimed that the deceased were whisked away by the security personnel during a search operation in Tutak area of Khuzdar a few months ago. “All the four victims were on the list of missing persons and their relatives held government functionaries responsible for their illegal arrest and detention,” he added. Meanwhile, police found another dead body from an area near Qambrani Road Friday night. A complete shutter down strike was observed in Kech district on Saturday to condemn killings of Baloch freedom activists. All shops and commercial centres in Turbat, Mand, Hoshap, Nasirabad, Tump, Buleida and other townships remained closed in response to the strike call given by Baloch National Front (BNF).
