ATTN. Mr T. Kumar
Amnesty International &
other honorable officials and volunteers;
Dear Mr.T. Kumar,
Please see herewith a news item related to the extra judicial killing of two enforced and involuntarily disappeared persons Ashfaq Mullahzai, 25, and Farooq Mengal, 30, in Occupied Balochistan.
The two were in the custody of Pakistan’s secret service for more than two months.
There are more than 1,000 involuntarily disappeared persons in Occupied Balochistan, where the Baloch people are engaged in a struggle for freedom from Pakistan.
Pakistani occupied Balochistan has been turned into a killing field by the Pakistan military, fourth largest military in the world and one armed with nuclear weapons, and its affiliate spy networks the Inter-Services Intelligence and Military Intelligence.
The heroic struggle for independence of the Baloch people is largely under-reported in the West and U.S.A. Even Baloch politicians who believe in achieving the national right to self-determination are being targeted in Balochistan by the intelligence services. On July 14, 2010, Baloch politician, intellectual supreme court lawyer and general secretary of one of the largest nationalist parties, Balochistan National Party, Habib Jalib Baloch, was assassinated by the shadowy Baloch Mussla Diffa Tanzim, which is a front organization of the infamous I.S.I.
The executioners accused Habib Jalib Baloch of blasphemy.
On behalf of the American Friends of Balochistan, we urgently appeal to the Amnesty International to please help stop the extra judicial killings of Balochistan freedom activists and take appropriate steps for the recovery of the more than 1,000 involuntarily disappeared persons from Gestapo-style torture cells of Pakistan’s Inter-Services Intelligence and Military Intelligence.
We further appeal to the Amnesty International to please take up the issue of gross violations of Baloch human rights at the level of the U.S. Congress, United Nations Human Rights Council, European Union, and other related international forums.
We also urge all Amnesty International volunteers to please write to their respective congressmen and U.S. senators to stop Pakistan from human rights violations of the secular Baloch people in Occupied Balochistan.
As you might be knowing Texas-sized Balochistan was not a part of Pakistan, but was occupied by Islamabad at gunpoint.
Just like the Kurds further to the West, the Baloch homeland, Balochistan or the “Land of the Baloch”, was divided into three parts by the British imperial rulers.
I look forward to hearing from you.
