Occupied Balochistan, Kalat:Unknown armed assailants attacked officer Mess of Frontier Corps (FC) Balochistan with bomb and light weapons and wounded one personnel in Kalat town, some km 160 southeast of Quetta on Saturday.Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) claimed the responsibility and said that seven soldiers were killed and fifteen other got injured. According to source, unidentified armed men hurled several hand grenades on the premises of Mess of Frontier Corps in Kalat town and fired with light weapons. Resultantly, one personnel identified as Juma Khan sustained injuries who was later taken to hospital.

Zakir Majeed’s sister appeals for missing brother’s release

QUETTA: The family members of Zakir Majeed Baloch, Vice Chairman of Baloch Students Organization (BSO), who went missing on June, 8, 2009, have established a hunger strike camp in front of Quetta Press Club on Saturday to protest against the non-recovery of their family member.
Earlier, addressing a press conference, the sister of Zakir Majeed said that her brother had been whisked away allegedly by the government agencies on June, 8, 2009 from Mastung district and despite lapse of one year they were unaware about his whereabouts.
Bomb blast kills FC man; injures 8

QUETTA: An official of Frontier Corps (FC) was killed while another eight including 3 more FC personnel were injured when a bomb, planted in a car, went off on Sariab Road here in Quetta on Sunday morning, Geo news reported.
Police sources said the blast took place when an FC vehicle was passing by near Poly Technique College and a bomb planted in a nearby-parked Alto Car exploded.
