PAKISTAN: A man who was disappeared twice and severely tortured has finally appeared in court

Murad Khan Marri, 45, who was held incommunicado on two occasions, first, for a period of nine months after he was arrested by the Frontier Corp (FC), for the murder of Chinese engineers, holding Indian currency and keeping explosive material, has again been disappeared while in the custody of FC. He has now been produced in an anti terrorist court (ATC) in Quetta, the capital of Balochistan province.

Occupied Balochistan: A spokesman of Baloch liberation Front Doda Baloch has claimed that two FC personnel are in his organisation’s custody, if they government of Pakistan wants their safe release they must give Iqbal Baloch ‘who was abducted in 2007’ to us (BLF). Iqbal Baloch was abducted from Thump region of Makran, Balochistan, and has been missing ever since. Last month National Crisis Management Cell report claimed that Iqbal Baloch has passed away. “If Iqbal Baloch is alive he must be released and if he has been killed in custody his body must be returned, in exchange we will hand over the FC soldiers to the government of Pakistan otherwise there is no guarantee of them returning back home alive.”, said the BLF spokesman.
