LONDON: Protest against kiiling of Baloch people in Karachi and Khuzdar

18.01. 2010

Rt. Honorable Gordon Brown MP
Prime Minister to Her Majesty’s Government
10 Downing Street
London SW1A

Subject: Atrocities committed by the Pakistani State Establishment against the Baloch and Sindhi people

Dear Mr. Prime Minister,

Members of Sindhi and Baloch communities in the United Kingdom would like to draw your attention to the heinous crimes recently committed by Pakistani intelligence agencies in collaboration with a fascist terrorist organization (MQM) against the Baloch and Sindhi people in Karachi. We seek your urgent intervention.

The Pakistani army and other law enforcement agencies stationed in Balochistan and Sindh are involved in illegal manipulations and support of dangerous miscreants, religious fundamentalists, fascist organizations, anti-social elements and international drug traffickers. Baloch and Sindhis are legitimately concerned about the safety of their national leaders, social activists and general population.

We would also like to draw your kind attention to the fact that during the last many years hundreds of democratic, secular Baloch and Sindhi political and social activists have been kidnapped, tortured and killed the by Pakistan’s military agencies. The whereabouts of many are still unknown and we genuinely believe that their lives are in grave danger. A brutal military operation is being carried out by the Pakistani state in Balochistan and covert coercive strategies are being employed in Sindh over the past several years. By all accounts, the acts of terror on the part of the Pakistani military establishment are tantamount to acts of genocide against the Baloch and Sindhi people.

Last week witnessed a ruthless operation involving indiscriminate slaughter of innocent Baloch population in Karachi. This was carried out jointly by a known fascist and terrorist organization (MQM) and the Pakistani para-military force (The Rangers).
The tactics of killing the innocent Baloch and Sindhis adopted by the armed forces, paramilitary forces, civilian administration and state security agencies of Pakistan in collaboration with a fascist organization are in violation of international conventions regarding human rights.
Dear Mr. Prime Minister,

We also would like to draw your kind attention that the leader of the terrorist organization (MQM) involved in the killings of innocent civilians is based in London.
Pakistani establishment in collaboration with the fascist and terrorist organization of MQM is fully determined to get the Baloch and Sindhi political and human rights activists exterminated by the proxy hit squads. This is being done in order to silence the voice of the democratic and secular people of Balochistan and Sindh, to maintain their hegemony on the democratic, secular Baloch and Sindhi people and in this way completely colonise and steal their resources.
We sincerely believe that Pakistani State controlled by a fundamentalist military establishment qualify as a terrorist state. The Pakistani establishment has been exploiting the support of the Western world for the terrorization and suppression of the voices of minority nationalities in Pakistan. The weapons that western powers supplied to fight international terrorism are being used to kill innocent Baloch and Sindhi people.

Dear Mr. Prime Minister,
The Baloch and Sindhis in the UK therefore request your immediate intervention. We strongly request you to press the Pakistani establishment to stop all atrocities against the Baloch and Sindhi political, social and human rights activists and civilians. We request that this petition be taken as an urgent humanitarian appeal. Your immediate intervention could save not only countless innocent lives but could also prevent the present situation from developing into a total genocide of the defense less Baloch and Sindhi people. We will be grateful if the Government of Her Majesty could advocate for the establishment of an international commission to investigate the crimes against humanity committed by the Pakistani state establishment in Balochistan and Sindh.
We sincerely believe that your urgent intervention and decisive action can save lives of thousands of innocent people in Balochistan and Sindh.

Yours sincerely,

Baloch Human Rights Council (UK)
World Sindhi Congress
