QUETTA/KARACHI: The leader of the Baloch National Front (BNF) Brahamdagh Bugti, said on Wednesday the third death anniversary of Nawab Akbar Bugti, that the Baloch living in Karachi cannot be separated from the land and people of Balochistan.
Brahamdagh gave a telephonic address to the people of Lyari, which is predominantly Baloch. He said that they could not be separated from the movement in Baluchistan.
“A conspiracy is being hatched to cut Karachi’s Baloch from the land and people of Balochistan on the basis of the argument that they are part of Karachi and they have no relation to Balochistan,” he said.
“But we want to clarify that we are all Baloch by identity and we belong to the same land and have the same interests.”
Nationalist parties that were offering promises of jobs and provincial autonomy to their people were basically deceiving them, he said. “The government is still following its policy of divide and rule. But we didn’t accept the government’s offer for talks yesterday and we will not accept this offer tomorrow. We will continue our struggle till we achieve our objectives,” he pledged.
Brahamdagh said that Nawab Akbar Bugti sacrificed his life for the Baloch people and for Balochistan, and that his followers would continue his mission.
We welcome the statement of Waja Brahadagh
Bugti with regard to the position of Baloch living
in Karachi. His statement has clearified the position of Baloch of Karachi, who had always been the staunch supporters of the struggle of Balochistan in
the annal of history. The Baloch of Karachi had always been in the forefront of freedom movement
of Balochistan during the British rule. Most prominent of them were Mohd Naseem Talvi, Abdullah Baloch, Master Peer Bakhsh, Master Mohd Yousif, Ghulam Mohd Noordin, Khair Mohd Nadvi, Qasim Hoat and hundreds of other
enthusiastic Baloch patriots. Karachiits Baloch
had always been the backbone of Baloch struggle.
They have never left their suffering millions alone but joined the ranks of Baloch Freedom fighters
in all fields of Baloch struggle. There happened a
time when certain selfish socalled nationalists
leaders advised Karachi Baloch to join other political parties other than Baloch parties and get
amalgated into other nationalities. Was it not a
matter of great shame for those socalled leaders
to bargain the future of millions of Baloch living in
Karachi & Sind, with MQM & PPP?
We are highly grateful to Barahamdag for his recent statement regarding the future of Karachi
Baloch, who have always been inseparable part &
parcel of Baloch nation. We assure Brahamdag
that he must be rest assured of Baloch support in
his struggle of Freedom of Balochistan.
