Baloch journalist Abdul Razzaq killed in Karachi: BBC News

Family_Haji Abdul Razzaq Baloch__Karachi Press clubKARACHI: The mutilated body of journalist Haji Abdul Razzak has been identified by his family, a day after it was found in the southern Pakistani city of Karachi.

The Balochistan-based journalist had been missing since 24 March. He was tortured to death.

His body was discovered on Wednesday alongside another mutilated body in Karachi’s Surjani Town area.

London: Baloch activists in United Kingdom organised a protest demonstration against the attack on Daily Tawar’s office and killing and abduction of Baloch Journalists by Pakistani and Iranian security forces here on Friday.

The demonstration was staged in front of the office of Commonwealth Journalists Association in London.

Editorial: Another Blatant Attack on Daily Tawar

tawarA prominent anti-government and pro-Baloch nationalist Urdu language newspaper, Daily Tawar, says personnel of Pakistani intelligence agencies raided its Karachi office early in the morning on April 6. According to the newspaper, a convey of seven vehicles surrounded the newspaper’s office, broke the locks, burnt all the furniture and took away every piece of electronic equipment, including computers, fax machines and an electric generator. The attackers also stole the newspaper’s data and archives. The B.B.C. Urdu also reported that the attack seemed to have been carried out by intelligence agencies. A former secretary general of the Pakistan Federal Union of Journalists (P.F.U.J.) said he believed that the government raided and ransacked the offices of Daily Tawar

Baluch journalist reported missing in Karachi

cpj_logoNew York, March 28, 2013–Pakistani authorities should determine the whereabouts of a Baluch journalist living in Karachi who was last seen on March 24, the Committee to Protect Journalists said today.

Haji Abdul Razzaq Baloch was last seen leaving his friend’s house in the Liyari neighborhood of Karachi, according to news reports. Razzaq has worked as a copy editor for the news desk of the Urdu-language pro-Baluch nationalist newspaper Daily Tawar, the reports said. He is also a member of the Baluch National Movement, a nationalist political organization.

Third Baloch lawer diappears after arrest by Pakistani authorities

Occupied Balochistan: A renowned Baloch columnist and lawyers Mr Ali Sher Kurd has reportedly been abducted by Pakistani intelligence agencies while he was visiting a relative.

According to independent sources and reports published on Daily Tawar Newspaper Pakistani authorities have arrested and disappeared a well-known Baloch columnist and advocate from Quetta. A Balochi TV channel has reported that Mr Ali Sher Kurd was staying at the houses of a relative Dr. Saleem Kurd in Gilani Road Quetta, when the security forces raided his houses and arrested advocated Sher Ali.

WARNING: “Daily Tawar”!

Warning of being targeted and attacked issued to newspaper ‘Daily Tawar’.

Unknown people have stamped a poster of a skeleton and a gun showing symbol of “Death” on the main door of the newspaper’s office followed by warning of being targeted. These attack warnings were pasted when no one was in the office.
