Toronto, April 22: Baloch Human Rights Council (Canada) has expressed serious concerns related to the rising tide of Pakistan state atrocities against civilians across Balochistan. BHRC noted that not a day goes by when Baloch activists belonging to various nationalist and pro-independence organisations are not picked up, subjected to torture, target-killed, and their mutilated bodies dumped in different locations in Balochistan and Karachi.

Baloch freedom fighters claimed responsibility for attacks on Pakistani forces

561bfa76-2c44-40d6Occupied Balochistan: Baloch resistance organisation, fighting for independence of Balochistan, claimed responsibility of attack on Pakistani security forces in different area of Balochistan on Saturday.

The representative of BLA, Azad Baloch, called media from an unspecified place and claimed responsibility for an attack on Pakistani forces, which killed three personnel and injured many others. He also claimed responsibility for a rocket attack on a camp of security forces in Kahan region of Balochistan.

Occupied Balochistan: Reports coming from different sources and different villages of Balochistan are giving the same story that on daily bases Baloch villages and towns are being raided by Pakistani state forces.

On Friday 19 April 2013 in Jaho a tehsil, of district Awaran, Frontier Corps (FC) raided the house of Master Ali Jan Baloch, manhandled the house children and womenfolk. On resistance they killed Master Ali Jan Baloch in cold blood.

Occupied Balochistan: Pakistani forces have started a door-to-door search operation in Punjgur town. Many areas including the main bazaar, Garmkan, custom were besieged and attacked by the state forces. Houses, shops and schools were raided and looted of valuables. Pakistani forces surrounded the girls’ school and violently broke into the doors and windows. The armed personnel of the forces indiscriminately targeted the female teachers and students.

The uncivilized male personnel of the Pakistani forces harassed the women in the pretext of frisking and snatched their mobile phones, cash and jewelries from them. At least four Baloch people were abducted from their homes during the search operation including Master Asghar Baloch and Master Waheed Baloch. The family members of the abducted people including women and children were beaten up and tortured at the time of their abduction and their houses were looted of valuables.

Protests against upcoming Pakistani elections in Balochistan, 19 reportedly arrested

Occupied Balochistan: Pakistani security forces have reportedly arrested at least 19 protester during protest rallies in different areas of Balochistan on Sunday.

Sources reported large numbers of Baloch activists including women and children took to street in different cities of Balochistan yesterday. They were protesting against human rights violations in Balochistan and the upcoming Pakistani elections. The Baloch Republican Party had given the call for protest.

The process of electing a parliament in any democratic society is a freedom of expression and rights exercised by the civil society – the state policy of silencing the Baloch media at this critical instant is an open statement of war on freedom of expression and the rights of a people.

Enforced Disappearance Of Baloch activistsEnforced disappearances in Balochistan continue unabated as the Pakistani forces allegedly abducted another seven innocent Baloch people including five activists of Baloch Republican Party from different areas of Balochistan. An activist of Baloch Republican Party namely Abdul Mutlib Baloch s/o Iman Din Baloch was abducted by Pakistani forces from Punjgur on Sunday (April 07, 2013). He was travelling along with his family from Washuk to Punjgur when personnel of Pakistani forces and intelligence agencies stopped them at Punjgor custom. Family members of the BRP activist including women and children were harassed and beaten up before he was dragged to the forces vehicles and taken toward an undisclosed location.

Activists of BRP and BRSO took out a protest rally in Turbat against forced annexation, atrocities in Balochistan.

brp-rally-in-turbatOccupied Balochistan: (25 Mar, 2013)Thousands took out a protest rally in Turbat organized by the Baloch Republican Party and Baloch Republican Student Organization against the illegal Pakistani occupation in Balochistan, March 17 massacre in Dera Bugti and human rights violations in Balochistan. The participants also included a large number of women and children. The rally was launched from boys and girls colleges Turbat at the same time and later headed toward National Bank square and then to Shaheed Fida square. From there the rally marched to Ata Shad square and passing through different streets of the city returned back to Shaheed Fida square where a sit-in was staged.
