KARACHI: A spokesman for the Baloch Students Organisation-Azad (BSO-Azad) claimed on Monday that the group’s central committee member Jawad Baloch survived an attempt on his life near Al-Saadat Hotel in Karachi. The group blamed Pakistan’s security forces for the attack.
However, no security official confirmed the report. In a statement on its facebook group page, the BSO spokesman said the “agents of Pakistan agencies” opened fire on the group’s leader at 2:40 pm in Kumharwara, Karachi. However, Jawad Baloch remained unhurt, the statement added.
The spokesman said it was the second firing attack on BSO leaders in a week. “Last Thursday, BSO Azaad CC Member Sangat Naseer Baloch also survived an attack in Tump,” the statement said.
